Valley of Flowers Trekking
The valley of flower was discovered In 1931 by Frank Smith who wanted to scale a peak in Garhwal called Comet. While returning after successfully completing his mission he took the western pass and lost his way and reached this valley after many difficulties.  All of a sudden he came upon a sea of flowers which totally enchanted him. He put up a tent and stayed here for many days. During these days he collected 260 different species of flowers. Some seeds he took back with him. In 1937, he came back again to this valley and stayed here for a long time. Then he wrote a book called "The Valley of Flowers". This valley is surrounded by high mountains on three sides and is at a height of 3500 to 6,500 mts above sea level.  Some of the flowers are saxifrags, sediams, lilies, poppy, calendular, daisies, denthus, turmopsis, primula, dadiculatar, pontitala, geranium, cipro nepolysis, holly, pansy, zinnia, petunia, fox, caropsis dynthus etc.

Day 01 : Delhi-Haridwar Departure by train to Haridwar. Day at leisure to explore this holy town.Overnight in Hotel. 
Day 02 : Haridwar-Auli. (2500 m - 3050 m). Overnight in Hotel. 
Day 03 : Auli Day at leisure.Overnight in Hotel. 
Day 04 : Auli-Ghanghria(3048 m)14 Kms trek; 6-8 hrs walking. Overnight in camp.
Day 05 : Ghanghria-Hemkund. (4329 m)6 Kms; 4-5 hrs walking. Guru Govind Singh Gurudwara at Hemkund is also a major               attraction.Overnight in camp.
Day 06 : Hemkund-Ghanghria.( 3-4 hrs of walking )Overnight in camp. 
Day 07 : Ghanghria. (Valley of Flowers)(3658 -3962 m) 4 + 4 Kms; 5-6 hrs walking. This valley with its myriad variety of rare               wild flowers never fails to impress a visitor.Overnight in camp.
Day 08 : Ghanghria-Auli( 4-5 hrs walking)Trek down to Govindghat and thereon drive back to Auli.Overnight in Tourist               Hut/camp.
Day 09 : Auli Day to relax and explore the surroundings.Overnight in camp. 
Day 10 : Auli-Pauri.Overnight in village house/camp. 
Day 11 : Pauri.Overnight in village house/camp. 
Day 12 : Pauri-Delhi Morning departure by road to Haridwar.Explore the town before proceeding to Haridwar to board the               evening train to Delhi.Transfer to Airport for flight back home.
