The beautiful Nubra Valley lies north of Leh across the 5570m / 18,269ft. The second highest motorable mountain passes in the world and was once an important staging post for the caravans traversing the silk route to the teeming bazaars of Central Asia. It borders both China and Pakistan sandwiched between the Ladakh ranges to the south and the Karakorum mountains to the north and east. The remnants of those lively bustling days can be seen by the existence of the Bactrian double humped camels once used as beasts of burden and left behind by some of the traders. With a milder climate the fertile land sustains a rich variety of apricots, apples and other crops.
Day 01: Arrival in Delhi arrival transfer from The International airport and transfer to The Hotel. O/N Hotel
Day 02: Early morning transfer to the domestic airport and by air to Leh. Day free for acclimatization. O/N Hotel
Day 03: Leh- Local sightseeing and monastery tour, visit to Shey, Tikse and Hemis monasteries. Overnight Camp
Day 04: Hemis Monastery to Spitul Gompa. O/N Camp
Day 05: After breakfast from Spituk Gompa we move towards Basgo and Alchi and Likir monastery. O/N Camp
Day 06: Trek over Pobe La (3550 metres) to Yangthang.Overnight camp.
Day 07: Trek to Rizong gompa and back to Yangthang.overnight camp.
Day 08: Sermanchan La (3750 metres) and Lago La (3750 metres) to Ang.Overnight camp.
Day 09: Temisgam, over Bongbong La (3630 metres) to Khaltse, Wanlah. Overnight camp.
Day 10: Wanla over Prinkiti La (3725 metres) to Lamayuru. Overnight camp.
Day 11: Lamayuru to Leh.Overnight Hotel.
Day 12: Leh to Delhi
