Walking over the white frozen Zanskar river is just like walking over the white sheet. This trek is quite strenuous and demanding and gives you all the thrills great adventure and excitement. The temperature of the region is normally below -30° to -35. Walking at such a low temperature is in itself a great challenge but the blue sky and spirits of adventure keeps one motivated throughout. The trek goes along the Zanskar River in the region of Lingshed and constitutes a walk of around 15 days with 3850m. The whole trek needs technical briefing each day before starting the trek and professional escorts to guide on the entire trek as some of the features of this trek are visiting those places where one can not visit normally because of high gorges and difficult trains.
Day 01: Early morning flight Delhi to Leh, transfer to hotel and rest. O/N Hotel
Day 02: Morning sightseeing - Shanti Stupa, and Sangkar Gompa.Evening free. O/N Hotel
Day 03: Sightseeing around Sham, the lower part of Ladakh, visiting Likir and Alchi monasteries. O/N Hotel
Day 04: Leh to Chiling by jeeps along with our porters from Pishu village of Zanskar, 5 hours. O/N camp
Day 05: Walk on ice of the frozen Zanskar river, Chadar, commences from Chiling, stage one to Zaribago, 5 hours. O/N Camp
Day 06: Zaribago to Deepyokma 4 hours. O/N Camp
Day 07: Deepyokma to Nyrakpulu 4 to 5 hours. Camp below Nyarak village. O/N Camp
Day 08: Nyarakpulu to Lingshed, one hour walk on Chadar, then 5 hours steeply up to Lingshed village. O/N Camp
Day 09: Full day rest in Lingshed, one of the most remote villages in Ladakh, visit monastery, school for monks, roam around the village. O/N Camp
Day 10: Ligshed to Nyarakpulu, 5 hours. O/N Camp
Day 11: Nyarakpulu to Tsomopaldar, 4 hours. O/N Camp
Day 12: Tsomopaldar to Tilatdo, 5 hours. O/N Camp
Day 13: Tilatdo to Chiling, and return by jeep to Leh, 5 hours. O/N Hotel
Day 14: Full day of rest in Leh. O/N Hotel
Day 15: Return flight to Delhi
