Bird Watching Tour

This tour includes the different species of the birds which are found in the Shiwalik and Trans Himalayan ranges, On this tour one can witness the different species of the bird like Himalayan Monal (The State Bird of Himachal Pradesh), Cheer, Kali and Red Jungle fowl, Trapogon, Koklas etc, apart from bird watching the exploration of different landscapes, culture and  unexploited beauty of Kinnaur and remote regions of Kullu are the main highlights including the wet land of maharani Pratap Sagar Lake.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi. Transfer to the hotel in Delhi. Day at Leisure. O/N Hotel
Day 02: Delhi-Chandigarh-Shimla. O/N Hotel
Day 03: Shimla-Sarahan/ 174 km/7 hours drive. O/N Hotel
While driving to Sarahan enroute stopping at Himalayan National Park holding many local species. A number of pheasant species breed at the park, including Himalayan Monal (The State Bird of Himachal Pradesh), Cheer, Kali and Red Jungle fowl. O/N Hotel Srikhand
Day 04: Sarahan to Sangla
Sarahan has The peasantry located nearly 2 km from the hotel. Visit Sarahan Peasantry, and spend time with the Western Tragopans and other species breeding there. Later drive Towards Sangla.O/N hotel
Day 05: Sangla
Excursion to Chitkul (2 hr.) stopping for birding enroute. Overnight camp
Day 06: Sangla-Kalpa- 64 Kms/04 hrs. O/N Hotel
Day 07: Kalpa
Day 08: Kalpa -Tirthan Valley
Departure to Goshaini (10 hr., 3,000m) via Jalori pass & Shoja. Shoja, a small village at an altitude of over 8,000 feet. The access to Shoja winds through thick forests, alpine trees, which provide an untouched habitat. Overnight in a tourist lodge at Tirthan.
Day 09: Tirthan Valley
After breakfast a walk on the forest logging road into pristine Pheasant countryside. The Pheasants attractions seen here include Monal, Kaleej and Koklas. Overnight in a tourist lodge at Tirthan.
Day 10: Tirthan & Banjar Valley. Overnight in a tourist lodge at Tirthan.
Day 11: Tirthan Valley-Dharamshala- 7 hours. O/N Hotel
Day 12: Dharamshala -Pong Dam
Morning Excursion to Pong Dam which is famous for migratory Birds, Many species of Birds can be seen here. O/N Hotel
Day 13: Dharamshala –Chandigarh- Delhi
Driving from Dharamshala to Chandigarh to Catch the evening Shatabdi to Delhi.
